RHOSLC reunion LIVE —Heather gives emotional real reaction to BFF Jen Shah’s prison sentencing in tense moment with Andy

PART one of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City (RHOSLC) reunion aired Wednesday, revealing how the women are processing costar Jen Shah’s sentencing.
Jen was found guilty on charges of fraud and money laundering earlier this month after a long legal battle.
This storyline was explored on the show, and the women revealed in the reunion how shocked they were that Jen was convicted.
Heather Gay revealed to host Andy Cohen how the news impacted her.
She said of the guilty verdict “I just felt sadness and grief.”
Many other shocking revelations surfaced in the first episode, including a call from Jen clearing up accusations she spread rumors and Heather’s lies surrounding her black eye.
After speculation that Jen caused the injury, Heather finally admitted she blacked out and had no idea how the black eye appeared.

Jen Shah is from Salt Lake City
Jen Shah, 49, is a reality TV star in Bravo’s Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.
She is of Tongan and Hawaiian descent and grew up in Salt Lake City.
Shah grew up Mormon but converted to Islam when she learned about the historical mistreatment of black people in her previous religion.
Shah joined The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City family during the first season in November 2020.
A shortened season
Season 3 lasted 14 episodes before the finale in December 2022.
The season was eight episodes shorter than the previous season, leading fans to speculate that storylines around Jen may have been cut out.
One fan on Reddit said: “I think Jen’s trial was supposed to happen during the filming dates originally but got pushed back (then she pled guilty).”
RHOSLC star wasn’t at Season 3 finale
Jen Shah wasn’t present for the filming of the Season 3 finale, disappointing fans that were ready for emotional fireworks.
On Instagram, the star said “I was clear with Bravo that out of respect for the courts and a standing judicial order, I would not be in a position to discuss anything related to my legal case or sentencing.”
The star said that Bravo treated her court appearance like a “storyline.”
Bravo attempted to set up a one-on-one between Jen and host Andy Cohen, but plans fell apart after Jen’s legal team advised against the sit-down.
More on Jen Shah’s trial
Jen Shah was arrested on March 30, 2021, on charges of fraud and money laundering.
In April of that year, she pleaded not guilty, which has been a crucial storyline of the show.
In July 2022, she plead guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud as part of an agreement with federal prosecutors.
On January 6, 2023, Shah was found guilty of the fraud charges brought against her.
She was sentenced to six and a half years behind bars, as well as five years of supervised release.
Why wasn’t Jen Shah in attendance?
Fans that watched the first part of the RHOSLC Season three reunion noticed Jen Shah’s absence.
Andy addressed Jen’s absence, saying: “We invited her to be here but unfortunately her legal team advised her not to come today.”
Shah called in to address rumors but skipped the in-person reunion due to her legal battles.
Jen explained to her followers last month she would not be attending as advised by her lawyers.
She said at the time: “I was clear with Bravo that out of respect for the courts and a standing judicial order, I would not be in a position to discuss anything related to my legal case or sentencing.”
Fans react to Heather’s bombshell confession
In one of the most shocking moments of the night, Heather admitted she lied about knowing how she got her black eye.
Fans are taking to Twitter to express their thoughts on her confession.
One viewer tweeted, “The way Heather enables Jen’s behavior is very weird. Does Jen have something on her? This is loyalty is odd.”
Another added, “Oh, STOP Heather, you were & are soooo EXTRA & ridiculous about that black eye!
At first I was shocked & concerned. NOW… girl , bye. You needed a storyline but you dragged it on for too long. Nobody cares now!”
When part two will air
Tonight kicked off the season three reunion of RHOSLC.
Many revelations came to light, including Heather’s bombshell that she lied about knowing how she got a black eye.
Part two of the reunion will air next Wednesday at 8pm on Bravo.
Did Jen punch Heather?
The women on the couch debriefed on whether they thought Jen punched Heather resulting in her black eye.
Andy asked Heather if she thinks Jen did it and she reiterated she had no idea.
Heather revealed she called Jen the next day to help her come up with a cover story.
Whitney, Angie K, and Dana theorized there was an accident causing the black eye or that Jen did hit her.
Angie K joked she heard rumors of sexual relations between Heather and Jen that also may have caused the black eye.
Heather apologizes
Heather apologized for lying about her black eye and admitted the reason she wasn’t honest was that she was ashamed.
She stated, “It was humiliating. I don’t want to black out. I don’t want to get drunk and black out and have no memory of it it’s terrifying. … for me, I have a lot of Mormon shame about drinking, and I’ve already dealt with a lot of it on the show and now it’s public and now I’m waking up with not a friend in the world with a giant black eye.”
She added, “I woke up in a very, very high-stress situation with so much shame and humiliation and no way to hide it.”

Footage from the girl’s trip revealed Heather told mixed stories about her black eye.
Andy addressed the lies and Heather admitted she blacked out and didn’t know how she got the injury.
Heather said she lied, “Because I was scared that they (her castmates) would rewrite the narrative if I said I didn’t know then they could say anything they wanted.”
Angie H revealed Jen slammed Heather behind her back
Angie H revealed Jen told her that Heather’s business was struggling.
She also revealed text messages from Jen saying she was going to “expose” Heather.

Heather defended Jen pouring champagne on Angie’s head and said she saw the humor in it when she watched the show back.
Angie H also revealed, “To be totally truthful I feel that Jen wanted me in the group but with conditions, and that I had to kind of stay down here on a leash.”
Lisa also claimed Jen wouldn’t let her and Angie K text.

After a heated back and forth, Lisa fired at Angie K, “you’re trying to ignore the fact that your husband trolled me.”

Lisa also denied that she created Instagram accounts to troll Angie.
Angie H, Angie K, and Dana enter the reunion
The three women have joined Andy and the rest of the housewives on the couch.
Dana revealed she originally liked Jen but after seeing the way she treated some of the women it changed the way she viewed her.
When asked why she told Jen she was friends with an informant, “I was hoping that maybe she could be like I don’t know maybe own up to it early on. Talk about it. Address it. Take accountability.”
Lisa gets emotional
Lisa revealed she was “devestated” over the loss of her friendship with Meredith.
She added what hurt her the most was when her husband John was brought into the fight and breaks down in tears.

Meredith has called Jen Shah to clear up rumors about her popping pills.
Jen denied saying the rumors and Lisa fired back that she was not going to jail for lying.
Lisa slammed Meredith, “Name names. … I have never said that before. Never. It’s funny that you’ll believe someone going to prison for lying over me.”
Does Meredith have a pill problem?
Lisa has addressed her previous claims that Meredith “pops pills.”
She revealed, “Jen had told me that they popped some pills. She told me that you two were both Ketamine or something.”
Meredith was shocked about the accusations and called the claims “vile.”

Whitney clarified the rumors about Lisa exchanging sexual favors for courtside tickets.
She also defended herself for starting the rumors and revealed Meredith had told her about the courtside tickets.
Lisa B added she didn’t believe Whitney would make up rumors about her and the women fought over whether Whitney or Meredith was responsible for spreading the rumors.

Meredith reveals that she didn’t reach out to Lisa for her birthday, they haven’t been on speaking terms.
“My issues with Lisa today have nothing to do with her childish tantrum. How many times do I have to say the same thing?”
She explained, “After Arizona we were in a neutral space. Hopefully positive movement forward.
Shortly thereafter I come to find that Lisa had removed me as a follower on her Instagram.”
Meredith also added she was hurt Lisa didn’t reach out after her father’s tragic passing.
The women react to Jen’s absence
The women share with Andy their reactions to Jen Shah’s sentencing and absence from the reunion.
Lisa B. said, “I have mixed emotions. Like I think in a lot of ways I think it would be great to have Jen here just so we could talk through things and just you know basically get some closure.”
Whitney added, “I was surprised because all season since she was indicted she claimed her innocence and screamed it from the rooftops so I honestly thought she’d go fight the trial to the end.”
Meredith added, “I was shocked. It’s just not what I was expecting.”

Heather Gay revealed her eye “took about 10 days” to heal but she “could cover it with makeup.”

The Housewives have arrived at the reunion in a sprinter van.
Sprinter vans have seen a lot of air time this season as some of the biggest fights have occurred in one.
