(NOTE LANGUAGE) SZA‘s SOS is still on top of the Billboard 200, marking one month since it first claimed the #1 position. In the week ending January 5, the album earned 125,000 equivalent album units in the U.S., per Luminate, and it’s making history along the way.

According to Billboard, SZA is the first woman to have an album spend its first four weeks atop the chart since Adele’s 30, which dominated in the first six weeks following its release. SOS is also the first album by a woman to rule for four consecutive weeks since Adele’s 2021 album.

SOS is the first R&B album to spend one month at #1 since Alicia Keys‘ As I Am spent four nonconsecutive weeks as the chart-topper in February 2008.

It’s additionally the first R&B album by a woman to spend its first four weeks at #1 since Janet Jackson‘s 1993 album, Janet, spent six frames at the top.

SZA celebrated the accomplishments on social media while expressing gratitude for all who made it possible. “I don’t have sh** to say but thank you to God my ancestors my family my team and ALL OF YOU THAT RIDE FOR ME ! ESPECIALLY CAMP!! Ya’ll my family too,” she wrote.

“We have so much more to come,” she teased.
