Fugitive liquor entrepreneur Vijay Mallya has received a backlash from a London court. In London’s High Court, Mallya has appealed against his extradition to India, where he has lost. The 64-year-old former head of Kingfisher Airlines appealed to the High Court against his extradition to India in February this year, the verdict of which came today. At the Royal Court of London, two members of the Panel of Judges Stephen Irwin and Judge Elizabeth Ling rejected Mallya’s appeal.
Meanwhile, a source at the investigative agency was quoted as saying that according to the London justice system, Vijay Mallya could appeal against HC’s order in SC within 14 days. If he doesn’t appeal within the stipulated time frame, we will start the extradition process.
