Only a few more nights of sleep, then God Of War: Ragnarök will finally be released. The game gets really ridiculously high marks in most reviews, so expectations are high. I really liked the previous game, although I was skeptical for a long time. Hopefully it’s not exactly the other way around now. For now I have some screens from a few other games.

To be honest I still don’t really have much time in it Gotham Knights sit, but every now and then I play a bit. I was once again distracted by another game, which makes up the second half of my photos.

That’s right. ‘Open’ world, haha. This is still in the tutorial, so they’ll get away with it nicely.

A Gotham Knights prequel comic miniseries called Gilded City is currently running, which chronicles the events leading up to the game. The first part appeared around the release of the game and the series will consist of six booklets. Each part comes with a cosmetic DLC code and in issue #1 you get a skin for the Batcycle. On the one hand it is a nice extra for people who also read comics, but on the other hand it is a fragmentation of the content of the game.

I’m sure I’ll repeat myself, but I have a love-hate relationship with souls likes. I don’t give a damn, but I keep coming back to give it another try. One evening this week I just felt the urge to start Dark Souls Remastered to play. Not so much to make a serious effort, but to fill some time. The furthest I ever hit was to the second boss. I then made one or two attempts, but never continued. Now the goal was also just to do Undead Asylum and run around a little bit in Undead Burg. No more.

Normally I go for the warrior, but this time I chose the bandit. It has an extra point for both vitality and strength, plus it starts with a tough ax and also has a nice shield.

Then a typical From Software opening video starts. Elden Ring has one of those too. And apparently I have a thing for feminine hands in their videos, because not only this one, but also those of Bloodborne’s Vicar Amelia right before her transformation look very nicely designed. I don’t know what that means.

I have seen this corridor so many times, that I walk through Undead Asylum fairly smoothly.

I had to laugh a bit here. I wanted to take a screenshot that I was fighting the Undead Asylum boss, but before I knew it he was already dead. It was far from the first time I put it down, so I already had some experience with the fight, but it still went faster than I expected. I’m guessing it was because I was holding my weapon with two hands instead of fighting with weapon and shield.

On to Lordran!

Smart camera tricks make that bird look much bigger than my character. Peter Jackson also used them in his Middle-Earth films.

Basically at this point I had pretty much reached my goal for the evening. I only strongly suspect that a series of photos will follow next week…
