AND IT’S IMPORTANT TO KNOW THERE WILL NOT BE ANY PERFORMANCES OR PARADES ON THE DAY OF SUPER BOWL SUNDAY TO AVOID COMPETING WITH SUPER BOWL CELEBRATIONS. THE PARADES FOR SUNDAY, THE 12TH, WILL RUN THE FOLLOWING SUNDAY. AND SOME OF THE FAMILY FRIENDLY PARADES INCLUDE EXCALIBUR SYMPHONY AND THE MAGICAL CREW OF MAD HATTER’S. COUNCILWOMAN JENNIFER VAN RANKIN SAYS THERE ARE SOME CHANGES FOR YOU THIS YEAR. BUT THE PARADES THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN ON THAT SUNDAY WILL GO TO THE FOLLOWING SUNDAY. SO YOU’LL HAVE A THENA AND ATLAS ON THAT SUNDAY. AND THEN SOME CHANGES BECAUSE WE WILL HAVE A PARADE AGAIN ON LUNDI GRAS. WE HAVEN’T HAD A PARADE IN JEFFERSON AND LUNDI GRAS IN A WHILE. AND CENTURIONS, ONE OF OUR OLDER CREWS IS ROLLING ON LUNDI GRAS. AND I’M ALSO TOLD THAT ON MARDI GRAS DAY, ARGUS WILL BE CELEBRATING ITS 50TH YEAR.
