Players love Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 aim assist

Console gamers and PC gamers can’t always go through the same door, especially when it comes to shooters. Many shooters give console players aim assist to compensate for the fact that controllers are less accurate than mice. PC players often find this unfair and in a surprising twist, Modern Warfare 2 players on console now think so too.

The new Call of Duty is now in the shops and as so often with multiplayer games, many players have some criticisms. For example, players are unhappy that crossplay cannot work on PC and Xbox. Many console players prefer not to play against people with a mouse and many PC players want to avoid opponents with aim assist.

But console players also have a lot of discussion about aim assist. Several people are sharing videos of their weapon aiming well almost automatically without touching the controller’s right stick. For many players, that goes a lot further than a little help and fans would like to see Infinity Ward make the aim assist a little less good.

Other console players only claim that the aim assist is totally fine. Many also post videos in which they aim almost automatically that others complain about not being able to imitate. Wherever the truth lies, the disagreement alone might make it sensible if Infinity Ward indeed checks out whether the feature works as it should.

Even more problems with Modern Warfare 2

An aim assist that may or may not be too strong is not the only thing that bothers Modern Warfare 2 players. Shortly after launch, for example, there also appeared to be a problem with the tuning of attachments. That was serious enough that the feature has been temporarily disabled while a fix is sought.
