Packers OL Sean Rhyan suspended six games for PED violation
Written by ABC AUDIO on November 26, 2022
Green Bay Packers rookie offensive lineman Sean Rhyan has been suspended for six games without pay after violating the NFL’s policy on performance-enhancing drugs, the league announced Friday.
Rhyan was a third-round pick (92nd overall) out of UCLA in the 2022 UCLA draft.
Rhyan has yet to play a snap on the offensive line this season. The lone snap he has played came on special teams against the Detroit Lions on Nov. 6.
Rhyan will be eligible to return to the 53-man roster the day after Green Bay’s regular-season finale against the Lions. If the Packers miss the playoffs, he is done for the season.
Also, Green Bay linebacker De’Vondre Campbell (knee) is doubtful for Sunday’s road game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Offensive tackle David Bakhtiari (knee) and cornerback Shemar Jean-Charles (ankle) are questionable.
As expected, Receiver Romeo Doubs (ankle) will miss his third straight game.
