It has been revealed that a male idol who was found guilty of sexually assaulting his fellow group member had recently starred in a movie.
According to Seoul Shinmun, the news outlet reported on May 30 that a movie that the former idol starred in was recently released.
A movie that Idol A(25), who was sentenced to prison for forced molestation, starred in was recently released in theaters.

According to the report, fans, who were unaware of his crimes, wrote supportive messages and shared the news of the movie’s release to bring awareness. The identity of the idol has not been revealed publicly.
Seoul Shinmun also spoke with the CEO of the idol group. In the report, the CEO responded to the scandal.
As soon as I learned of the situation, I separated them. We also provided therapy and sexual education for our artists. We are doing our best to protect the victim.
We tried to cancel the contract with the perpetrator, but we haven’t been able to get in contact with him for months. As for his trial and movie release, we haven’t heard anything from the perpetrator or the movie production company.
