Kathy Hilton congratulates Paris on baby after IVF spat

Kathy Hilton celebrated the arrival of her new grandson after Paris Hilton and Carter Reum’s surrogate gave birth to a baby boy.
“Paris and Carter, we know you are going to be the most amazing parents,” the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star told People on Thursday on behalf of herself and her husband, Rick Hilton.
“We are so thrilled for you both!” Kathy, 63, continued. “Thank you for this perfect addition to our ever-growing, beautiful family.”
The statement came two days after Paris, 41, debuted her infant via Instagram.
“You are already loved beyond words,” the “Simple Life” alum gushed.
She and Reum, also 41, have yet to reveal the newborn’s name.
The couple pursued in vitro fertilization before tying the knot in November 2021 — but Kathy publicly alleged last year that her daughter’s fertility journey had been a “struggle.”
In a November 2022 E! News interview, the Bravolebrity claimed, “I know she is trying and trying, and I always say, ‘Just relax.’ … It doesn’t happen just like that.”
Paris promptly refuted her mom’s comment, telling TMZ she and the businessman had “tons of embyros … waiting.”
The DJ subsequently took to her Instagram Stories to further set the record straight.
“I’m getting tons of messages of people asking me when I’m having a baby,” the hotel heiress wrote. “My husband and I always wanted to enjoy our first year of marriage together as a couple.”
She concluded, “IVF is always a journey for everyone but we are so fortunate that we have lots of healthy embryos ready and waiting to be part of our Cutesy Crew!”
Kim Kardashian, who welcomed two of her four children via surrogate, helped advise Paris on “IVF, surrogacy and doctor recommendations,” a source told Page Six on Wednesday.
The “Kardashians” star, 42, commented on Paris’ announcement, writing that she felt “so happy” for the new parents.
In a post of her own on Wednesday, Nicky Hilton welcomed her sister to the “most beautiful ride” of parenthood.
“There is no greater love,” the fashion designer, 39, continued. “You are going to be the best mommy. What a lucky boy! 💙.”
