The distinctive supercar was left with its side completely smashed up after a collision in Cardiff. Luckily no-one was hurt but plenty took to social media to ask if Barbie was ok

No one was seriously hurt in the collision at the junction of North Road and Corbett Road, Cathays, Cardiff yesterday.

But plenty took to Facebook to compare the vehicle to one belonging to the iconic doll, Barbie.

One said: “Barbie went to one too many parties by the looks of it.”

Another wrote: “Bloody Barbie.”

While one added: “Is Barbie ok?”

But some people were more offended by the colour of the supercar worth tens of thousands of pounds.

One said: “A pink Ferrari….. That’s sacrilege.”

Another commented: “No Ferrari should be pink.”

Police are now investigating the crash which also involved a red Mazda as pictures from the scene showed major damage to the side of the Ferrari with a wheel completely ripped off.

South Wales Police said: “Shortly after 3.40pm on Tuesday, August 8, South Wales Police received a call concerning a road traffic collision which happened at the junction of North Road and Corbett Road in Cardiff.

“The collision involved a red Mazda and a pink Ferrari. There were no reports of serious injuries.

“There was a local lane closure in place to allow for vehicle recovery and road cleaning to take place. The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation.”

Earlier this year, we reported how a Fast and Furious fan wrote off a £328k Audi R8 in a 90mph crash 12 hours after picking it up.

Reco Jefferson, 36, was lucky to be alive after smashing into a wall.
