Shahid Kapoor recalls shooting for Taal song with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as the ‘worst and best day of his life’ : Bollywood News

It is a known fact that Shahid Kapoor started his career as a background dancer before gaining stardom and he has appeared in a couple of films including the popular musical Taal. The film featuring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Akshaye Khanna, and Anil Kapoor in lead roles, had the actress playing the role of a stage performer. In the song, ‘Kabhi Aag Lage’, Shahid, who was then the student of popular dancer-choreographer Shiamak Davar, appeared as a background dancer. Recalling the shooting experience, the actor described it as the ‘best and worst day of his life’.

In an interview with Radio Nasha, Shahid Kapoor reminisced about his struggling days, wherein he opened up about the day he was shooting for the song ‘Kabhi Aag Lage’ (Taal). He said, “No one knows this, but that day I met with an accident. I used to ride my motorcycle and I fell off it. So, I remember I reached the set very flustered because I had fallen off and I was like, what just happened with me? And that was the day this happened with me. I’ll always remember it as the worst and the best day of my life at that time.”

 

Along with Taal, Shahid also remembered the memories associated with another film Dil Toh Pagal Hai. The actor revealed that he had just joined the Shiamak Davar when the film was offered to the latter and that he was quite nervous because he was one of the rookies. “Dil To Pagal Hai… I have no favourite memories,” Shahid maintained, adding, “My hair was bouncing around too much and I was spoiling the shot so I was really nervous. I had just joined Shiamak’s troupe, so I was probably one of the rookies there. I was just nervous all the time. I was a nervous wreck, just hoping I don’t mess things up.”

 

On the work front, Shahid Kapoor is currently gearing up for the release of the action-thriller Bloody Daddy which is a remake of the 2011 French film Sleepless Nights.
