Details Of New Final Scene And Post-Credits Stinger Revealed

Written by on June 2, 2023

We have more details on the final scene of the upcoming theatrical release of The Flash, and while some of this info has been previously disclosed, it sounds like fans are in for some surprises…

We recently learned that the version of The Flash that screened at CinemaCon and for select fans and critics over the past couple of weeks wasn’t actually the final theatrical cut of the movie audiences will see on the big screen later this month.

From what we can gather, the ending is going to be slightly (if not significantly) different, and a completely new post-credits sequence will be attached to the theatrical cut.

Now, scooper @CanWeGetToast has shared a more detailed breakdown of both the final scene and the post-credits stinger, and it sounds like previous rumors relating to a certain other Batman were indeed accurate.

Apparently, the last scene features none other than George Clooney’s take on the Caped Crusader! The post-credits stinger, meanwhile, focuses on Barry Allen and Aquaman (Jason Momoa) drinking in a bar.

Check out a more in-depth description below, along with a new extended TV spot.

“Directed by Andy Muschietti, The Flash features Barry Allen traveling back in time in order to change events of the past. But when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, Barry becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation, and there are no Super Heroes to help. That is, unless Barry can coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian…albeit not the one he’s looking for.

Ultimately, to save the world that he is in and return to the future that he knows, Barry’s only hope is to race for his life. But will making the ultimate sacrifice be enough to reset the universe?”

The Flash is produced by Barbara Muschietti and Michael Disco, with a screenplay by Christina Hodson, and a screen story by John Francis Daley & Jonathan Goldstein and Joby Harold, based on characters from DC. Warner Bros. Pictures presents a Double Dream/a Disco Factory production of an Andy Muschietti film.
