Box Office Predictions: Adipurush set to open HUGE, all India collections to comfortably surpass Pathaan : Bollywood News

Film industry is set to have its biggest opening day of 2023, what with Adipurush embarking on a blockbuster beginning at the box office. The biggest day so far has been scored by Pathaan, which had collected Rs. 70.50 crores on its second day, the Republic Day holiday. Now if the hype around Adipurush is any indication, that number would be comfortably surpassed by the mythological biggie on its very first day when it comes to collections across all languages in which it’s releasing. In fact, the first day number of Pathaan was Rs. 57 crores and Adipurush would be far ahead of it.

As for the Hindi version, the numbers would be in the upwards of Rs. 30 crores, which would be huge as well. Before Pathaan, the last time a Hindi movie had opened this big, it was Brahmastra and that too has a mythological element to it while being a big screen spectacle. It has opened in the upwards of Rs. 30 crores in just the Hindi version and that too on a non-holiday. Now Adipurush would be in similar lines as well and it has be seen if it manages to surpass that by a crore or two.

 

The film is seeing a massive release all over and while the 3D version will ensure premium collections as well, the only missing piece is IMAX and 4DX versions. Now had the film released here as well then the collections would have been even better. However, the arrival of Flash means that Bollywood would have to contend with other formats. All that one looks forward to now is that the Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan starrer indeed delivers as per hype as that would ensure that the film is now just about the opening numbers but sustainability too.
