After Naseeruddin Shah MOCKS Filmfare Awards, Manoj Bajpayee, Subhash Ghai SLAM Statement

Veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah, who has been the recipient of several accolades over the years, in a new interview mocked the Filmfare Awards which is one of India’s most important film recognitions. Following his controversial stand, actor Manoj Bajpayee and veteran filmmaker Subhash Ghai have now slammed the statement made by the actor.

Filmmaker Subhash Ghai said, “Filmfare is a prestigious award. No matter which award we get one should not disrespect as it’s given in our honour. I have been nominated many time but received it only thrice. So even nominations is similar to victory.”

Meanwhile Manoj Bajpayee revealed that Filmfare has always been a dream to him, adding, “I have grown up watching Filmfare and I used to enjoy watching it. People getting recognition is amazing. Filmfare is one of the biggest moments of pride and achievement. It is the most valuable part.”

Naseeruddin Shah’s statement it seems has come as a shock to his industry colleagues, for whom winning a Filmfare Award is one of the biggest recognitions in their career.
