Emmerdale’s Mackenzie caught by Charity as he kisses Chloe

Emmerdale spoilers follow.

Emmerdale‘s Mackenzie Boyd risks losing Charity Dingle forever when she catches him sharing a kiss with Chloe Harris.

Mack has been trying to win Charity back in recent weeks after she made the discovery that he fathered Chloe’s son Reuben.

In scenes set to air this week, Charity begins to soften towards Mack, but it becomes clear that Chloe is beginning to fall for him after she leans in for an attempted kiss.

In follow-on scenes next week, Mack visits Reuben and spends time with Chloe. Charity’s granddaughter Sarah Sugden is torn about whether she should tell Charity about the pair’s afternoon together.

The next day, Charity celebrates Sarah’s birthday by throwing a surprise party and reluctantly invites Chloe along for Sarah’s benefit. Charity begins to regret her decision when Mack joins them with Reuben.

Despite Mack’s promise to Charity that he has no feelings for Chloe and is focused solely on being a father to Reuben, he becomes swept up in the emotion of witnessing Reuben’s first smile and shares a kiss with Chloe in the backroom.

Unbeknownst to Mack and Chloe, Charity has witnessed everything and is furious. Charity confides in Chas Dingle about her discovery and is filled with ideas of revenge. However, Chas isn’t convinced and suggests that Charity still has feelings for Mack.

Meanwhile, Mack and Chloe are awkward around each other in the aftermath of their kiss and agree to leave things open-ended. Will Charity confront them with her discovery?

Emma Atkins, who plays Charity, recently discussed the fallout of Mack’s baby drama with Digital Spy and whether it could spell the end for Charity and Mack.

She commented: “In some ways I feel sad because I love our chemistry together. I think it really works and the general feedback is that it’s brilliant, but then I’ve seen Mack and Chloe on screen together and it’s fantastic chemistry too.

“We’ve been told that towards the end of the year, there’s something – we’re not allowed to know what, but there’s another triangle thing going on. Unfinished business perhaps, but the three of us aren’t being told anything.”

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
