How does one find spare parts that are suitable for their cars? A lot of people would hesitate to buy parts from recyclers because they are not really sure if these parts are suitable for their cars. If you are one of those people who are afraid that you might get spare parts that are not really suitable for your car, you should bear in mind that your car is a mass produced model and there is bound to be thousands just like it lying around some junk yards waiting to be discovered. If you take some time to really find what you need, you can usually find it in a pick your part car buy.

In fact, if one observes properly one will remember that in vintage cars, car fender covers were an integral part of the car’s anatomy. They did not just cover the fender of the car but also added a touch of grace and glamour to the car.

Scrap metal can be found and traded for money or you can be a middleman between the refiners and smelters and have individuals bring you their scrap, otherwise known as a junk yard or scrap yard.

When you are looking for the right auto parts and accessories for your car, you should try and find them at a good price but beware of problem parts. Often consumers will buy the cheapest car part, an oil filter for example or a jug of cheap oil. This may seem like a good idea initially because you save money, but you will just end up spending more down the road. If you buy that cheap jug of oil, then your car is going to burn through it faster and you will just need to spend more when it runs out. As well, you may actually do damage to your vehicle with a sub-par oil and that can cost you even more with car repairs.

All those cars that were scrapped, older folks, college kids or first time drivers could have bought and stimulated the economy more than what little fuel or green house gases they would use/omit.

Frankly, when I got back to Utah, I set it on a shelf for a couple of weeks before doing anything with it. I thought it probably had some metals, mostly silver, and wasn’t worth much, so no hurry! I finally took it to my refiner and asked him to melt it and get an assay. Final score: dirt – 40%; metals – 60%. The metals were silver and gold. The gold ran almost 18K (75% pure gold) and the jar yielded almost a pound of pure gold!
