Black Adam, The Rock on the return of Henry Cavill: “In the new era of DC we will listen to the fans”

Over the course of this weekend Black Adam, the cinecomic with The Rock, finally arrived in cinemas around the world allowing fans to witness the return of Henry Cavill’s Superman to the scene five years after the release of Justice League.
A few days ago, during the world premiere of Black Adam in New York, The Rock was able to talk in a very in-depth way about how it came to get the involvement of Henry Cavill. An involvement that, as we have explained to you in this in-depth study dedicated to the original plans for the post-credits scene, was not taken for granted, quite the contrary.
The Rock explains:
I’ve known Henry for a long time, we’re friends. My longtime business partner, Dany Garcia, has always been a great supporter of Henry. You have managed Henry’s career over the years. It all basically boils down to the fact that we love Superman. There is this new leadership taking over at Warner. There was an opportunity. With Black Adam we wanted to do everything possible to pay homage to and respect the character’s mythology by telling him that he is the most powerful and unstoppable active force on the planet. And if we had done things right, at the end of the film it was not to enter the scene alone, with Superman, the most powerful and unstoppable force in the universe, but also to exhaust the desire of the fans.
And regarding the relationship with the fandom, the actor adds:
And that’s the main difference, the new era I’m talking about. In the new era of DC we will listen to the fans. We may not be able to fulfill every single wish expressed, but they will be aware that they will no longer be ignored as they did before. Linking this reasoning to Henry … When it comes to Superman, I don’t know if there is anyone on this planet who can embody mythology, ethics and everything to do with Superman better than him. This is why I am very happy that everything went the right way. I’m glad the fans are going crazy about it. And I am delighted that there is this shift in the DC universe.
