The Incredible Hulk Comes To Disney+ Tomorrow Leaving Only 2 MCU Movies Left

The Incredible Hulk is coming to Disney+, leaving only two Marvel Cinematic Universes left to join. The Incredible Hulk was released in 2008, being only the second movie in the MCU, coming after Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man. Many say The Incredible Hulk is the black sheep of the MCU, but that appears to be going away after multiple characters from the film have returned to the MCU. Now, 15 years after the movie’s debut, The Incredible Hulk joins Disney+, coming together with almost all other MCU films.

On Twitter, the official Disney+ account revealed that The Incredible Hulk will be joining Disney+ in the United States tomorrow, June 16.

The MCU has released 32 movies since 2008, and The Incredible Hulk elevates Disney+’s MCU movie count up to 30. The only films that are not part of the streamer’s library are two of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man adventures — Spider-Man: Far From Home and Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Why Disney+ Doesn’t Have Far From Home Or No Way Home

While Holland’s Spider-Man is part of the MCU, Marvel Studios does not own the movie rights to the character —Sony does. Recently, the studio struck a deal with Marvel to have several Spider-Man movies streaming on Disney+, which include Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man trilogy, Andrew Garfield’s The Amazing Spider-Man, Holland’s Spider-Man: Homecoming, and even Tom Hardy’s Venom.

Clearly, there is a desire from both sides to see every Spider-Man-related movie be available on Disney+ at some point. The reason why Spider-Man: Far From Home and Spider-Man: No Way Home were not part of the first wave of movies in Disney and Sony’s new streaming deal was likely due to those movies, as well as The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, and Morbius being already tied up to deals with other streaming services.

Based on Marvel and Sony’s positive work relationship, which will see Holland continue in the MCU for the foreseeable future, with a Spider-Man 4 on the way, it is expected that all Spider-Man-related movies will join Disney+ in the future. Hopefully, the remaining Holland Spider-Man movies will follow The Incredible Hulk‘s lead and head over to Disney+ soon, making every MCU film available on the streamer.
