Spider-Man: Beyond The Spider-Verse may be delayed!
The sequel to Across the Spider-Verse was slated for an initial release on March 29, 2024, but now that seems far-fetched as hinted by Hailee Steinfeld. In a recent interview, Steinfeld has disclosed that she hasn’t even started recording her dialogues for Beyond The Spider-Verse where she’ll be portraying Gwen Stacy alongside Shameik Moore playing Spider-Man.
Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, the highly anticipated conclusion to Sony’s animated Spider-Verse trilogy, brings together an incredible ensemble. The talented Shameik Moore takes on the role of Spider-Man, while Hailee Steinfeld portrays the formidable Spider-Woman. They unite with an extraordinary team of Spider-friends, setting the stage for an epic adventure. The first chapter of this remarkable saga, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, left an indelible mark on audiences worldwide. Hailee Steinfeld Hints At A Possible Release Delay For Beyond The Spider-Verse
In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Hailee Steinfeld was asked a lot of questions about the third part of Sony’s animated Spider-Verse trilogy. During the interview, Steinfeld was asked if she had been recording for Beyond The Spider-Verse yet, to which she straightforwardly denied it.
She stated-
“Uh, nope! (Laughs.) As you can imagine, this has been an ongoing thing since the moment the first one came out. There’s been so much focus, and everyone’s blood, sweat, and tears has been put into making this the most incredible and best version of itself that it can be.”
It is worth noting that Steinfeld recorded her part in Across The Spider-Verse for 4 years before its release.
So it may be safe to say that the initial release date of March 29, 2024, won’t be able to stand out and it may get pushed back. Even the directors confirmed that it’s unlikely that the film will be out on the promised date due to last-minute live-action shoots and major rewrites amidst the WGA strike.

Interestingly, these Spider-People initially reject Miles from joining their ranks. Their reasoning lies in the fact that Miles became Spider-Man due to a spider bite from a different dimension, making him an anomaly. Despite this, Miles remains determined to save his father by disrupting a crucial “canon event” that maintains the integrity of each dimension.
