Bridesmaids 2 Gets Positive Update From Rose Byrne

Bridesmaids star Rose Byrne is positively addressing a potential sequel. The comedy, directed by Paul Feig, premiered in 2011 and follows Annie Walker (Kristen Wiig), a former pastry chef whose string of bad luck worsens when asked to serve as the maid of honor at her best friend Lillian’s (Maya Rudolph) wedding. Byrne portrayed the wealthy and arrogant Helen Harris III, one of Lilian’s bridesmaids who constantly competes with Annie. The rest of Bridesmaids‘ cast included Melissa McCarthy, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Ellie Kemper, and Chris O’Dowd.

Though there have been no updates surrounding a Bridesmaids sequel, Byrne revealed to People, she would “of course” be interested in returning for a second movie, but added that she would enjoy doing anything with the cast again. Will A Bridesmaids Sequel Ever Get Made?

Bridesmaids was a box office success, generating over $300 million during its theatrical run, and it is currently the highest-grossing film produced by Judd Apatow.
