3rd: Caelan Doris lights the first wick
Immediately conquering, the Irish get the first situation close to the opposing line. In a harsh and unadorned style, the percussions follow one another to wear down the Welsh defense. The Welsh do not see the light of day and continue to suffer. As usual, the Irish quickly play a penalty in the opposing 22 meters and chain the devastating charges. Supported by a teammate, second row James Ryan lays down in the in-goal in force and silences the Principality Stadium. Sexton still ensures the transformation from close (0-14).

The Irish continue their start to the game with a bang with a second try scored in the 8th minute of play. The Irish pack makes the difference in power with this time the second line James Ryan to flatten (14 – 0 after the transformation of Sexton).
21st: James Lowe dictates his law
On one of their rare sequences in the opposing camp, the Welsh are timid and retreat in the face of Irish impacts. Dan Biggar decides to dismiss the game towards Liam Williams, but James Lowe arises, intercepts the leather and strikes, after a run of 60 meters, a third blow to the Welsh club. Sexton passes the transformation again (3-24).

Ireland achieve more than the break in this first period with a third try, this time scored by left winger James Lowe on interception. The Welsh had been in Ireland’s court for a few minutes looking for a try when Dan Biggar missed his pass and saw Lowe go for a winning sprint from nearly 70 yards (3 – 24).
46th: a slim Welsh hope on the return from the locker room
The break did the Welsh good. Returning with better intentions, they approach the opposing line. After a productive maul, they push the ball away. After a great combination involving Dan Biggar and Joe Hawkins, fullback Liam Williams dives into the in-goal. Biggar converts (10-27).

An interception from James Lowe (21st) stunned the Welsh, who nevertheless fought back at the start of the second half, with a try from Liam Williams (46th). This short illusion did not prevent the XV of Clover from gleaning the offensive bonus, crossing the line one last time by Josh Van der Flier (73rd). A week before their trip to Dublin, the Blues are warned.
