(NOTE LANGUAGE) New Music Friday is back, with fewer suggestions than usual this time around. Nonetheless, there’s still new music to listen to. Here’s some of what dropped this NMF.
Trippie Redd, Mansion Musik — The album is an ode to 2018’s Mansion Musik mixtape by Chief Keef, who executive produced and rapped on the project. Other artists on the album include Travis Scott, G Herbo, Kodak Black, Future, Lil Baby, JuiceWRLD and Lil B.
Ice Spice, ‘Like..?’ EP — Written/composed by Spice and produced by RIOTUSA, the project — Spice’s first release via 10K Projects/Capitol Records — features six songs, including previously released tracks “Munch (Feelin U),” “Bikini Bottom” and “In Ha Mood,” as well as a song with Lil Tjay.
Coco Jones, What I Didn’t Tell You (Deluxe) — The singer’s added four new tracks to her debut EP, which she released back in October. Fans can now hear “Fallin’,” “Put You On,” “Plan B” and “Simple,” her duet with Babyface, on digital platforms.
NLE Choppa, “23” — The song hears the rapper listing off his goals for the year. “New year, new me, it’s 2023,” he raps. “Old sh** ain’t going for it — this newer me probably knew me last year, but you don’t know me.” The track will appear on Choppa’s Cottonwood 2, set to drop this spring.
Lil Tjay, “Clutchin My Strap” — The rapper dropped the video to the song fresh off his release from jail. It begins with footage of his weapons possession arrest earlier this week and continues with clips of performing in front of big groups, in the studio, rapping and more.
