The Australian filmmaker, 60, looked solemn as he walked the event’s red carpet with wife Catherine Martin.
It comes just hours after he took to social media to pay tribute to Elvis and Priscilla Presley’s only child, writing, ‘We will miss your warmth.’

Along with an uploaded photo of Lisa Marie sharing a laugh with Elvis star Austin Butler, Luhrmann said, ‘Over the last year, the entire Elvis movie family and I have felt the privilege of Lisa Marie’s kind embrace.
‘Her sudden, shocking loss has devastated people all around the world. I know her fans everywhere join me in sharing prayers of love and support with her mother, Priscilla, and her wonderful daughters Riley, Finley and Harper.’
Then, directing his words to the late singer-songwriter, he added, ‘Lisa Marie, we will miss your warmth, your smile, your love.’
For Friday’s occasion Baz looked handsome with his silvery gray cut in a neat crop with wispy pieces at the top.

He dressed conservatively in a black suit with a white button-up shirt, a thin black tie, and black dress shoes.

She smiled while supporting her spouse, donning a pair of oversized matte black eyeglasses.

The accomplished movie maker took time to mingle with other attendees at the event, which was held at Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills.

On Thursday Presley was rushed to a hospital in critical condition and was said to be in a coma following a ‘full cardiac arrest’ shortly after she had been complaining about stomach pains, according to TMZ.
The 54-year-old had attended the Golden Globe Awards on Tuesday, January 10, alongside Luhrmann and her mom Priscilla, where Austin Butler won a Best Actor award for his portrayal of her father.
Soon after her death, Priscilla, who was at her daughter’s side, said in a statement: ‘It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us.
‘She was the most passionate strong and loving woman I have ever known. We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss. Thank you for the love and prayers. At this time there will be no further comment.’
