Samsung comes with gigantic 8K monitor
Do you already have a large monitor on your desk, but those aren’t enough pixels for you? Then Samsung will come up with a solution. The South Korean manufacturer is working on a gigantic 8K ultrawide monitor.
Samsung
Samsung has been working hard in recent years to push the boundaries of monitors. For example, the company came up with the Samsung Odyssey G9 in 2020. That monitor has a 49-inch size, but you mainly see that in the width. The screen has an aspect ratio of 32:9, where a 16:9 ratio is now the standard.
As if that wasn’t big enough, Samsung has also launched an Odyssey Ark this year: a huge curved 55-inch monitor, which you can also put in ‘cockpit mode’. But the manufacturer does not stop there, because an even larger monitor is in the works. AMD revealed this during the RDNA 3 GPU event.

Gaming on PC in 8K
During the event, AMD revealed the new video cards, which according to the company are powerful enough to play in 8K. They would also go perfectly with the new 8K ultrawide monitor from Samsung.

Just like the Odyssey G9, the screen will have a 32:9 ratio, but with an 8K resolution. The monitor will also be equipped with a DisplayPort 2.1 connection. Not much has been announced yet, more details will be revealed during CES 2023.
