Star Wars: The Force Awakens star Daisy Ridley has confirmed that she is indeed married.

While doing an interview with Rolling Stone, Ridley was asked if she had gotten married after the interviewer had noticed a ring. “Yes! I got married,” she replied. Rumors that the actor had wed her Murder on the Orient Express co-star Tom Bateman, who she has been in a relationship with since 2017, first emerged in 2020 after fans noticed a ring on her wedding finger.

Ridley is best known for playing Rey in the Star Wars sequel trilogy — The Force Awakens (2015), The Last Jedi (2017) and The Rise of Skywalker (2019) — and for her lead role opposite Tom Holland in Chaos Walking. The actor is currently making the rounds promoting her upcoming romantic dramedy film, Sometimes I Think About Dying, which recently premiered at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival. She has also wrapped filming on the Disney+ biographical film, Young Woman and the Sea, in which she plays American competitive swimmer and Olympic champion Gertrude Ederle.

Daisy Ridley Is Open to More Star Wars

While the Skywalker Saga ended with 2019’s The Rise of Skywalker, Lucasfilm has remained open to returning to the sequel trilogy characters in future films. Ridley, who has previously alluded to a Star Wars return, recently reiterated that she would be more than willing to reprise her role as Rey in one of the upcoming Star Wars features that are in development at Lucasfilm and Disney. “I mean, I’m open to a phone call,” she said. “I’m looking for employment!” At this time, the only Star Wars film that is reportedly set after the events of the sequel trilogy is the one Damon Lindelof is working on.

Ridley has also been busy hyping up Lucasfilm’s future projects set in a galaxy far, far away. The actor recently stated that she heard from an executive at the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever premiere that “[The Acolyte] is amazing.” The upcoming mystery-thriller is set near the end of the High Republic era — roughly a hundred years before the events of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace — and follows a former Padawan who teams up with her old Jedi Master to investigate a series of crimes. Ridley also spoke kindly regarding The Acolyte‘s lead star Amandla Stenberg, saying, “Amandla Stenberg can handle herself. She’s been working for a long time.”

The Star Wars sequel trilogy is currently streaming on Disney+.
