Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Aaliya are currently undergoing the divorce settlement. While their relationship is beyond salvaging, the couple continue to co-parent their two kids – Shora and Yani.
Aaliya has been dropping hints of having found love amid this separation and she spilled the beans about the same. While withholding the name of her man, Aaliya told ETimes, “Yes, I have moved on and this relationship of mine is more than friendship. It’s not like there’s no commitment between us. I have my own life, which I have to live with my children and I don’t want to give my kids any problems. But, it’s a respectful relationship. It’s just a matter of time. It’s a habit, even if you do something good, people will still say bad things about you.”
Showering her mystery partner with praise, she adds, “He’s very grateful, a true gentleman. I was just so impressed with his intelligence. Money doesn’t make you happy, but the person does. He’s very decent and respects me a lot. He’s not from India, he is from Italy and we met in Dubai. He respects me and takes care of me a lot. We were friends for a long time but it took a bit longer for me to get to know him. ”
Last month, ETimes had reported that Nawazuddin Siddiqui will be traveling to Dubai to be with his kids. Giving an update about the same, Aalia says, “Nawaz had also recently come to Dubai, so finally, everything is settled. I have had a chat with Nawaz and the kids are here to stay. I feel that when the kids are happy, I am happy.”
Once the divorce is done, Aalia plans to shed the Siddiqui surname. “I’ll change it very soon. I’m going to change everything. But I’ll keep my individuality. I’m not going to change anyone’s surname now. But I’m not going to take anyone’s tag. I’m happy with it. You need a lot of support with such things and you can’t be happy with money,” concludes Aaliya.
